As a Program Manager in Component Tool Management at Yazaki, you will lead cross-functional projects, define sub-project objectives, and collaborate closely with customers and internal stakeholders. Your role involves overseeing resource allocation, ensuring timely and high-quality project deliveries within budget constraints. Critical path analysis, risk assessments, and proactive decision-making are integral aspects of your responsibilities. What you’ll be doing:

  • Establishing cross-functional project teams
  • Defining sub-projects, scope and objective of the project based on the requirements of sponsor and customer
  • Creating timings, defining equipment and tools distribution based on customer demands
  • Determining, allocating and controlling the resources (time, money, equipment, man power etc.) required to complete the project;
  • Assigning challenging but achievable work packages to PMT members and sub-project managers and measures their performance against goals
  • Ensuring quick, open and clear information flow between project team members and to the stakeholders of the project (develops and implements a communication plan)
  • Monitoring and controlling the status of the project objectives against plan
  • Identifying the critical path of the project schedule, conducts risk assessment and takes appropriate countermeasures where necessary
  • Holding regular internal and with customer the cross-functional team meetings to follow up on tasks and issues
  • Direct communication with customers (Cost & Timing)
  • Supporting new business related activities and focuses on a long term customer satisfaction

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully leading cross-functional projects, ideally in the field of Component Tool Management.
  • Technical knowledge of Tooling processes
  • Ability to conduct critical path analysis, risk assessment, and proactive decision-making to ensure successful project implementations
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with sponsors, customers, and the project team, ensuring clear information flow.
  • Experience in efficiently allocating and controlling resources, including time, budget, and personnel, to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions, recognize potential financial issues, and propose alternative solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a highly qualified team, assign challenging work packages, and measure performance against goals.
