About the role… A PhD position is available for a highly driven and strongly qualified young scientist who wants to advance their career in a stimulating, research-focused environment.
The PhD student should lead innovative and creative research in theoretical quantum physics, including mathematical modeling and phenomenological and numerical analysis. The PhD student should display scientific ambition and target research excellence. As appropriate at PhD level, the student should demonstrate maturity, independence, as well as a collaborative spirit, and strong expertise in mathematical and theoretical physics.

Excellent written and oral English communication skills and an inclination for mathematical physics and theoretical quantum information are required. Experience with one or more of the following topics will be valued: open quantum systems, shortcuts to adiabaticity, nonequilibrium phenomena, dynamics of ultracold gases, integrable systems, and quantum thermodynamics.
