About the role:
At duagon we focus on highly regulated markets and our customers expect bleeding-edge technology of the highest quality supporting the typically long lifecycles. As a Software Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to guide the development of our Embedded Linux software stack, shaping innovative solutions that meet the critical needs of our customers.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate across functions to define and drive the product roadmap, translating customer needs into actionable plans.
- Emphasize security at every level of the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IEC 62443 and the Cybersecurity Risk Assessment (CRA).
- Engage directly with customers to understand their challenges and deliver solutions that exceed expectations, prioritizing a customer-first approach in everything you do.
The position requires occasional travel (10-20%), primarily within Europe, to meet with customers, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring alignment and fostering strong relationships.
duagon’s embedded computing products are a vital part of many train platforms and medical devices globally. They are used in applications ranging from passenger information systems in trains to infusion pumps in medical devices. The broad-ranging portfolio covers low-power box PC’s on the edge up to high-performance computing platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Embedded Linux software stack, including mainline and LTS Linux decisions.
- Develop and maintain a detailed roadmap aligned with customer feedback, market needs, and business objectives.
- Actively engage with customers to gather insights, understand pain points, and ensure their needs are addressed in the product offering.
- Conduct regular analyses to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring the roadmap remains competitive.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of features.
- Ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a pertinent technical discipline. Equivalent hands-on experience is also highly valued.
- Proven experience in software product management.
- Strong understanding of Embedded Linux, the open-source community, mainline upstream/downstream decisions, and LTS strategy.
- Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Exceptional communication prowess, a customer-first mindset, teamwork spirit, and standout personal impact.
- A natural at organized, self-sufficient, forward-thinking work strategies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in embedded computing, IoT, and related areas.
