Software Engineer for Image Performance (m/f/d) – Bensheim, Germany
We are looking for an experienced and talented Software Engineer (m/f/d) Image Algorithms to join our team. This individual will work on image processing algorithm for our x-ray devices and improve our image quality.
Your Role:
- Improve the x-ray image quality in dental medical devices in close collaboration with product management, production, dentists and orthodontists
- Algorithm and software development (reconstruction, calibration, image filtering, artifact handling, compression) in a scrum team
- Follow the current state-of-the-art technology, read papers or attend conferences.
- Support the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensures unit and integration test coverage.
- Analyse image quality issues in production and in the field
Your Qualification:
Education : MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics or related engineering disciplines.
Years and Type of Experience :
- 3+ years experience in at least one of the following areas: Imaging, Image Processing and Computer Vision
- Experience in processing large amounts of data
- Experience in software development
- Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
- Experience in the field of medical imaging, in particular CT imaging, and the development of medical devices is an advantage.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:
- Ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Good knowledge in the programming language C++ or comparable.
- Good knowledge in python is an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
- Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge.
- Technical enthusiast with broad overview constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges.
- Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment.
- High degree of initiative, commitment, and goal orientation.
