Your roles and responsibilities
- Active participation in new projects for purchased parts (APQP for purchased parts and supplier development)
- Planning and ensuring the quality of purchased parts using quality methods and tools (e.g. FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, 8-D)
- Carrying out supplier audits in accordance with VDA 6.3 and supplier evaluation and determination of development measures, e.g. audits, ISIR
- Problem solution tracking (e.g. 8D method) in compliance with escalation processes
- Active teamwork with central functions of the business units for the development of quality strategies for purchased parts
- Review of documentation for new product launches (ISIR, PPAP)
- Support for new product launches to meet the required MAHLE quality standards
- Backup for supplier approval and audit process as well as supplier visits at home and abroad (EMEA region)
Your skills and strengths
- Successfully completed engineering studies or comparable degree with at least two years professional experience
- Alternatively technician training with long-term professional experience
- Ideally experience in the field of quality and intermediate to advanced IT skills (MS Office & SAP)
- Technical, manufacturing and process engineering knowledge
- Mastery of quality methods and tools (e.g. TS16949, problem solving, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Knowledge of quality requirements in the automotive industry is an advantage
- Assertiveness, strong communication skills and intercultural competence
- Ability to work in a team, presentation experience and a structured way of working with a professional appearance
- Fluent spoken and written English and German, further foreign language skills desirable
