IT System Administrator (Linux & NextCloud) (f/m/d)

Type: Full-time (39h), open-ended, hybrid possible

We are Team SB (server systems and basic services) and we are looking for reinforcement. The support of central IT services is our core business. As an international research centre, we are at the heart of developing solutions for climate change. To do this, we need strong IT supporters like you who are keen on the future!

As an IT System Administrator (Linux & NextCloud) (f/m/d), you will play a key role in ensuring that the IT infrastructure for researchers from all over the world runs smoothly. You can expect a responsible and meaningful job. You will be supported by a team that lives collegiality and tolerance.

• You will ensure the operation and availability of various central applications.
• In particular, the focus here is on the permanent support of our Nextcloud service landscape, which we offer for the research network throughout Germany.
• You will support and advise our employees and international guests on the use, troubleshooting and monitoring of the supported applications, provide 2nd level support, oversee deployment procedures as well as change and patch management.
• You localise, analyse and eliminate errors in the service landscape.
• You prepare professional documentation, specifications and needs-based instructions.

#aboutyou

• You have a degree*, preferably in computer science, or have experience and skills from equivalent activities.
• Enjoy dealing with international customers.
• Experience in the implementation of and collaboration in projects, an affinity for precision and an understanding of ITIL frameworks.

The employment contract is unlimited. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
