Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following, or related fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Law. Desirable:
- Professional data privacy related certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP).
Skills Set & Experience:
Required:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of at least 5 years in data privacy and data protection.
- Proven track record of supporting the implementation of privacy processes and controls.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in ensuring compliance with data protection frameworks such as GDPR.
- Proficiency in assessment of privacy risks and development of effective privacy risk mitigation recommendations.
- Solid understanding of Privacy by Design principles and related frameworks such as NIST Privacy Framework, ISO 27701, etc.
- Experience with AI technologies, machine learning models, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of AI ethics and risk management principles and proficiency in conducting privacy and AI risk assessments.
- Solid understanding of AI risk management principles and related frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act, etc.
- The SME is expected to be fluent in English as the primary language for work.
- Knowledge of French is optional and considered an added advantage as it is WIPO’s second working language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex privacy and AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
