Meet Your Team: Playtime

Playtime is a time- and event-based ad unit that rewards users with in-app currency based on the time they spend and events completed while playing mobile games. We connect advertisers to over 200 million Playtime users and serve 2 billion requests per day with low latency. Our goal is to ensure a positive experience for all parties involved: advertisers gain more users, monetizers earn revenue, and users enjoy fun games while earning rewards. Our data science team powers the engine that distributes our ads, developing algorithms to deliver relevant ads, predict user interests, and dynamically adjust pricing based on these predictions. We utilize deep learning models to serve the best ads to our diverse user base.

Within the Playtime team, you will be responsible for services and models that provide automated solutions for our advertisers .

What you will do:

1. Build, maintain, and develop new and existing models (classifications, recommendations, etc.).
2. Explore state-of-the-art algorithms and deep learning models to create recommendation systems, predict user behavior, optimize user retention, advertiser’s ROAS (return on advertising spend), and other dynamic metrics.
3. Analyze data from various sources to generate insights and collaborate with colleagues.
4. Advocate for data-related topics within the company and become the go-to expert in your area.

Who you are:

1. You have 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science.
2. You possess strong knowledge of Python, R, Scala, Julia, or similar programming languages used in Data Science.
3. You have experience working with large datasets from sources like AWS Athena, Kafka, Spark, Flink, S3, and MySQL.
4. You have developed deep learning models and deployed them in production environments handling traffic exceeding 1 million predictions per day.
5. You can explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple way.
6. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys helping others.
7. Plus: Knowledge of tech & infrastructure tools such as Airflow, model hosting, deployment, etc. Plus: Experience in the AdTech industry.
