Piper Maddox is partnering with a stand-out BESS developer who is on a mission to reduce America's carbon footprint by advancing BESS infrastructure. To date, the business has over 1.5 gigawatts of renewable energy projects in the US with a value of over $1.5B. This has allowed them to easily become a leading and trusted name in battery storage deployment and operation. They are a fast-growing start-up looking for a knockout Associate Director of Finance who will provide leadership and direction to the finance department. This position requires the management of complex financial models incorporating sophisticated corporate structures, debt, and tax equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling: Manage financial models for battery energy storage portfolios, working closely with the team to ensure the accuracy of inputs and outputs.
- Tax Equity: Lead sponsor model, incorporating tax equity inputs.
- Corporate Structuring: Work with c-suite to develop and model complex corporate structures.
- M&A: Support the M&A team in evaluating deals and developing competitive bid pricing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated financial competence and experience developing and building complex financial models using Microsoft Excel.
- 4+ Years' Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry or Banking.
- Experience navigating renewable and/or battery energy storage projects through the financing process.
- Creative thought process with new products or financial structures to bring value.
- An undergraduate degree is required, and a graduate degree or CFA is a plus.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives.
- Ability to set and meet realistic deadlines in an unstructured environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
