PhD student in Immunology

The Institute for Experimental Neuroimmunology at the University Clinics of the Technical University Munich is calling for applications for a PhD position, available immediately. The applicants will explore the identity, regulation and relevance of regulatory T cells in the post-inflammatory central nervous system. We will establish how their presence and function is related to prolonged adaptive processes, i.e. local immune regulation, tissue recovery and -dysfunction, using mouse models for multiple sclerosis in conjunction with RNA-seq and ATAC-seq as well as targeted gene editing. Our group is centrally located at one of Munich’s best biomedical campuses with intense international cooperation.

What we offer:

  • Working as part of a dynamic and stimulating international research team

What we are looking for:

  • Completed study program (M. Sc.) in immunology or related life sciences
  • Prior experience in animal experimental procedures (handling of mice)
  • Strong interest, theoretical knowledge and hands-on wet-lab experience in immunology
  • Ability to work independently
  • Training in bioinformatics is a plus
  • Fluent communication in spoken and written English

Your application should contain:

  • CV & educational certificates
