Independent insight-driven localisation agency, heading into an exciting phase of growth, based at the heart of Covent Garden, with an awesomely talented team, we are seeking a rock star Brand Guardian. Tired of being a cog in the machine? What you will be doing
As Brand Guardian you hold the responsibility for upholding, championing and developing on-brand ideas and solutions that delight our clients. Working closely with the Lead Brand Guardian you push to raise your internal profile by being creatively assertive and selling your ideas in to your peers and clients.
As a Brand Guardian, you'll be accountable for:
- Ensuring the implementation and upkeep of our clients' brand identities and strategies.
- Building a deep understanding of each client brand.
- Taking direct accountability for the quality of digital, print and video work produced out of the London Studio as well as from our external and offshore production hubs and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Clients
- Interpret and understand each allocated client brand, taking direct accountability for the quality of digital, print and video work produced out of the London Studio as well as from our external and offshore production hubs and partners.
- Liaise with client and clients' creative agencies on project progress and providing insights.
- Act as the main contact within the Studio for all Master files and assets.
- Upon receipt of all Client supplied Master files and assets - interrogate design and functionality and as required, work closely with client teams and the clients' creative agencies to ensure necessary adjustments are made to Masters files and assets until they are successfully deemed and passed as fit for use within the Studio.
- Interrogate ALL creative and question or provide solutions in confidence for Client.
- Check all files are correctly named and match campaign brief and files are ready for market adaptation.
- Review and check all Master files and assets within the production cycle before they are presented to QC.
- Make masters available for the Studio whilst ensuring internal production folder structures are correct.
- Support the wider studio with any artwork queries.
- Retain campaign ownership from start to finish, advising and guiding the digital and print production teams throughout.
- Brief London team on Master files and assets: Studio manager, client services teams, internal Studio developers and artworkers on client campaigns.
- Brief production hubs and partners on Master files and assets on a regular basis, providing support throughout.
- Retain brand ownership throughout and create additional brand guidelines, when required.
- Apply and/or facilitate for all necessary changes and/or modifications to digital, print or video assets using your ability and experience.
- Carry out technical checks of artwork and all digital, print and video assets for compliance with brief and specifications.
- Carry out in-process and end-to-end QA inspections of digital, print and video content including identification of obvious spelling errors, pricing and call-to-action etc.
- Ensure daily production output and quality targets are achieved.
- Work collectively and collaboratively with internal Studio, external production hubs and client teams to fulfil client requirements/requests within and working to specified deadlines.
- Proactively communicate with Client Services teams and Management.
- Utilise, maximise and develop the internal software & workflow solutions, bespoke to Freedman to achieve continuous improvement and manage Freedman's very high client expectations.
Upkeep of Campaign Folders
- Review and check all Master files and assets received from the client and add to the Studio servers.
- The checking of all masters includes brand and technical aspects, including correct colour set up, layers and naming conventions.
- Be responsible for applying any updated information from the Client Services/ Account Teams.
OOH and Digital Approvals
- All approvals between London studio and Client studio and/or creative agencies are to be managed via email.
- Brand Guardian checks the artwork and digital assets to guidelines before sending to Client.
- Brand Guardian manages any amends back into Studio.
- During a campaign, the allocated Brand Guardian lead will be responsible for spot checking artworker and developer produced files on their campaign to ensure consistency and maintain brand understanding of that campaign.
Communication
The Brand Guardian role is an information holding role and therefore each Brand Guardian must be accessible and open to working with all colleagues across the account to ensure continuous brand communication flowing and answer and assist on brand queries. Mentoring new members of Staff.
Reporting Structure
The Brand Guardian reports into the Lead Brand Guardian. Performance and progression are reviewed together with the Head of Production annually.
