(TAX FREE) Group Supply Chain Director, Industrialization and Partnerships (Defense)
The Group Supply Chain Director of Industrialization and Partnerships is responsible for overseeing and leading the development and execution of strategies for industrialization, optimization, and strategic partnerships within the global supply chain. This position will manage the end-to-end process of supply chain industrialization, from scaling production to forging key partnerships that drive innovation, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The Director will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive business case studies for industrialization initiatives, ensuring that each proposal aligns with the company’s growth objectives. The role will focus on optimizing resources, enhancing operational efficiencies, and maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners, while driving supplier development and the localization of production to enhance flexibility and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrialization Strategy and Execution:
- Lead the industrialization of supply chain operations by driving the scaling of production capabilities, optimizing processes, and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and technology teams to support the industrialization of new products and technologies, ensuring timely and cost-effective production scale-up.
- Develop and oversee the execution of industrialization roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational growth and market demands.
- Prepare business case studies for industrialization initiatives, analyzing costs, benefits, risks, and potential returns to support decision-making and secure necessary resources.
2. Strategic Partnerships Management:
- Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and partners to drive collaboration and innovation in supply chain operations.
- Identify and negotiate new partnership opportunities to strengthen the supply chain network, enhance sourcing capabilities, and leverage third-party expertise.
- Manage long-term supplier and partner relationships to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
3. Supplier Development and Localization of Production:
- Lead efforts in developing and optimizing supplier relationships to ensure performance excellence, innovation, and alignment with supply chain goals.
- Identify opportunities for localizing production to reduce lead times, improve responsiveness, and minimize supply chain risks associated with global disruptions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve capabilities, quality, and operational efficiencies, including providing technical support and guidance in their manufacturing processes.
- Implement strategies to shift production to regional hubs or local facilities when needed, ensuring flexibility and minimizing reliance on distant or vulnerable supply sources.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with the company’s broader business objectives, ensuring a cohesive and efficient approach to growth.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to address challenges in production, logistics, and distribution.
5. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the industrialization and partnership strategies, ensuring the supply chain is resilient and adaptable.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, industry best practices, and corporate policies within all industrialization and partnership activities.
6. Leadership and Team Development:
- Oversee talent development within the supply chain organization, ensuring the team has the skills and resources necessary to execute industrialization and partnership strategies effectively.
- Provide guidance on career development and leadership opportunities for team members, promoting a strong and dynamic leadership pipeline.
7. Technology and Innovation:
- Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in supply chain management, seeking opportunities to integrate new technologies that can drive efficiency and competitiveness.
- Support the digital transformation efforts within the supply chain, leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and AI to improve decision-making and streamline operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrialization or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, industrialization, and partnership development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully scaling supply chain operations and managing complex industrialization projects.
- Extensive experience in managing strategic partnerships and supplier relationships within a global supply chain environment.
- Strong expertise in supply chain optimization, lean manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with supplier development programs and initiatives to enhance quality, capability, and performance.
- Demonstrated success in localizing production and managing regional supply chains to improve flexibility and reduce risks.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in preparing business case studies, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and making data-driven recommendations.
- Experience with digital tools and technologies to support supply chain innovation, including advanced analytics, automation, and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance standards within supply chain operations.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Others Requirements:
- Ability to travel internationally as needed to engage with global partners and suppliers.
