The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) is a research center focused on sustainable energy solutions. The Solar Energy Materials and Systems (SEMS) research group seeks to incorporate an electronic engineer to manage the Electronics Laboratory in the frame of the "Advanced characterization processes in thin film PV technologies" research line. The gross salary of the candidate will be 35k€/year (position category TL3.1).
Tasks to develop:
- Supervision of the correct operation and hygiene in the laboratory
- Coordination and planification of the use of the different systems in the laboratory
- Design and planification of laboratory upgrades
- Training of personnel in the use of electronic equipment and related tools
- Creation of protocols and manuals for the use of the equipment from the Electronics Laboratory
- Acquisition of equipment, furniture and consumables
- Design, fabrication and assembly of PCBs
- Fabrication of electronic systems to give support to the research activities of the group
- Programming of electronic systems
- Support in the maintenance and reparation of the equipment of the group at electronic and electric levels
- Calibration of electric and electronic characterization systems and power supplies
- Support in the execution of activities for the different projects of the group
Requisites:
- To be in possession of a degree in electronic engineering or equivalent (IT, telecommunications...), before the incorporation date
- Previous demonstrable experience of at least 1 year in the management of electronic laboratories
- Experience with microcontrollers and programming
- The following characteristics will be very well evaluated:
- Programming skills and experience in C, LabVIEW, Arduino, Raspberry or equivalent
- Experience in the development and integration of light, electric and ambient sensors
- Experience in the implementation of IoT systems
- Experience with PV systems
- Previous experience in research centres
