Investigo are partnered with a fast growing technology company who through are looking to add a highly smart and analytical FP&A manager to their team to support the CFO in driving business from a finance perspective. They will be involved in key projects including an ERP system transition, the implementation of new financial reporting processes, and the integration of AI tools to enhance financial analysis.

Position Overview:

As the Senior FP&A Manager, you will be a vital partner to the CFO, helping shape the financial strategy and direction of the business. You’ll manage the financial planning, analysis, and modeling activities while contributing to high-impact projects such as the ERP system switch and leveraging AI to drive smarter financial forecasting. A strong background in financial modeling, especially in a fast-paced, scale-up or start-up technology environment, is essential for success. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our finance operations while contributing to the broader business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy and objectives.
  • Partner with the CFO on strategic projects, including the ERP system transition, financial reporting enhancements, and implementing AI-driven tools for better financial insights and forecasting.
  • Build and manage complex financial models for business decision-making, including scenario analysis, forecasting, and long-term financial projections.
  • Provide senior leadership with actionable insights by conducting variance analysis, identifying key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Drive the design and implementation of new reporting processes, ensuring that financial data is accurate, timely, and relevant for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment of the new ERP system and integration into financial operations.
  • Utilize AI tools to optimize financial forecasting, improve efficiency in financial reporting, and provide more accurate financial insights.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly business performance reporting cycle, tracking key KPIs, and aligning them with business goals.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, capital investments, and cost optimization, providing financial modeling and analysis.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of FP&A professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CFA is a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • A strong background in financial modeling, ideally from investment banking, private equity, or a similar high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • Experience in scale-up or start-up technology companies, where financial agility, innovation, and adaptability are crucial.
  • Expertise in building and managing complex financial models for decision-making, including scenario modeling, forecasting, and long-term projections.
  • Experience with ERP system implementation
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a collaborative, high-growth environment.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid work model, with 2 days per week in the office in Berlin.
