Your responsibilities:
- Design and performance monitoring of own assortments of own and third-party brands
- Constant analysis and maintenance of existing products and the identification and development of new products
- Market, trend and competition analysis with corresponding product range adjustments
- Support of the existing pool of suppliers, development of new sources
- Obtaining and evaluating offers / conducting price and contract negotiations
- Monitoring purchasing-relevant key figures
- Performing supplier audits
- Monitoring of product development / responsibility for timely production release
- Checking/compliance with budgets and schedules
Your profile:
- Successfully completed purchase apprenticeship (preferably industrial clerk or merchant in wholesale and foreign trade) or equivalent training or studies
- Alternatively, clothing technology studies / clothing engineer with commercial further training or commercial work experience
- Several years of professional experience in product, assortment and category management or in purchasing with overlapping activities
- Reliable product knowledge in functional clothing / ideally motorcycle clothing
- Willingness to travel (2-3 times a year to production sites and suppliers)
- Experience in international procurement markets, especially in the Asian region
- Very good knowledge of all current MS Office programs / Microsoft Dynamics AX (or comparable ERP systems) is an advantage
- Hands-on mentality and high social competence
- Enthusiasm for the motorcycle sport
- Independent work, high self-motivation, willingness to perform and ability to work under pressure
- Team spirit / down to earth / flexible / open
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
