Job description:
The Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) Greifswald is a branch of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). Here, we research the connections between the health of humans, animals, and their environment. Our goal is to better understand zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and the evolution of pathogens, thus contributing to the prevention of pandemics. Founded in 2021, the institute, with its international and interdisciplinary teams in a total of five research groups, is a beacon for innovative One Health research in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, directly on the Baltic Sea.
As a scientific advisor to the institute’s management, you will support the director, Prof. Dr. Fabian Leendertz, and the scientific and administrative staff. You will be part of an international team. You enjoy communicating and interacting with cooperation partners and international guests and live this way of working. You are keen to take on the challenge of getting involved in the varied and dynamic work of the HIOH and to work in a team- and solution-oriented manner.
This research center is part of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. With more than 42,000 employees and an annual budget of over € 5 billion, the Helmholtz Association is Germany’s largest scientific organisation.
