Job Purpose
Working as part of a Shared Service function, as the Intercompany Accountant, you will be responsible for assigned accounts payable activities, AP reconciliations etc. You will ensure that all intercompany vendor balances on the Accounts Payable are fully and accurately recorded in order for the company to meet our obligations to accurately track our liabilities.
Job Responsibilities
The Intercompany (ICO) Accountant plays a vital pivotal role within our Shared Services team. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Agreeing all intercompany supplier balances ensuring the Accounts Payable reconciles both to supplier statements and to the General Ledger thus consistently reflecting all amounts due on the financial records.
- Ensure all Intercompany Accounts Payable invoices are timely and accurately registered in the ERP system.
- Match invoices to purchase orders where necessary, checking that the correct amounts are paid and that appropriate authorization procedures are followed on all payments.
- Assure that the invoice approval process is fully followed.
- Upload invoices into ESKER system, send for approval and ensure the posting of the approved invoices.
- Handle Intercompany AP mailboxes, follow-up on ICO queries.
- Reconcile Intercompany GRNI balances for exchange variance and write off where necessary.
- Review the ICO A/P aged report for discrepancies
- Active participation in month end closing by solving all ICO mismatches.
- Perform any other directly related duties assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Ideally you will have an Accounting qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years‘ experience in finance and accounting (AP preferred). You must be able to communicate fluently in both Italian and English languages.
