Your tasks – What can you expect as a Senior Network Engineer (f/m/d)?
- Network Security: You ensure the global availability, scalability and (failure) security of our network infrastructure as a member of a globally distributed, international team.
- IT Projects: You lead and contribute to IT projects in the areas of WAN, LAN, WLAN and Security Operations.
- Network Incidents : You handle network incidents as well as requests and escalate them to third party vendors and suppliers as needed while monitoring their progress (2nd & 3rd level support).
- Network Monitoring: You monitor and configure the IT/OT network monitoring and manage service providers.
- Network Technologies: You help evaluating and implementing new network technologies and solutions, such as cloud computing, wireless networks and network automation.
- On-call Duty: After a comprehensive onboarding period, you will take part in weekly rotating on-call duty with an additional remuneration.
Your profile – What do you bring as a Senior Network Engineer (f/m/d)?
- Degree: You have a completed vocational training in IT, a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification as well as several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility and experience in enterprise IT environments.
- Expert Knowledge : You have in-depth knowledge in the areas of routing, switching, WLAN, NAC, firewalling and VPN.
- IT Security: You have extensive knowledge of current threats and possible countermeasures in the area of IT security.
- OT/IoT Administration: You have initial experience in the administration of production networks (OT/IoT).
- Language Skills: You have very good German & English languages skills.
- Business Trips: You are willing to make occasional business trips (~10%), also to other European countries as far as possible.
