Job Summary:

My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Director to lead their SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) team in Munich. The SAP Director will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the organization’s SAP strategy, ensuring the effective utilization of SAP solutions to support various business functions and processes within the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, manage SAP projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive SAP strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives, ensuring that SAP solutions enhance efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness.

2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of SAP professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

3. Project Management: Oversee SAP implementation, upgrades, and enhancement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry best practices.

4. V endor Management: Manage relationships with SAP solution providers and third-party vendors to optimize service delivery, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.

5. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and R&D, to understand their SAP needs and provide solutions that align with business objectives.

6. Compliance and Security: Ensure SAP systems and data are secure, compliant with industry regulations, and meet data privacy standards.

7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the SAP budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources and technology.

8. Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of SAP solutions and provide regular reports to senior management.

9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation within SAP systems and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in SAP leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing SAP implementations and projects in a large organization.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) and SAP best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with SAP security and data privacy regulations.
• PMP or SAP certification is a plus.

Location:
This position is based in Munich, Germany, and may require occasional travel to other company locations or for conferences and vendor meetings. Back
