The Product Manager (m/f/d) Welding EMEA is responsible for planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, defining the product vision including gathering Voice of Customer feedback, prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product offering supports Yaskawa's overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager has the ability to define tactical marketing and sales support programs based on the organization's strategic plan.
Your tasks:
- Excellent understanding of market and technology trends in welding.
- Manage the welding product portfolio of robots, cells, product packages and periphery such as positioners and portals.
- Proactively drive the entire product life cycle from translation of the strategic plan to developing an implementation road map.
- Define go-to-market strategy, including product positioning, key benefits, and target customers while working closely with all stakeholders, such as sales, channel partners, key customers and engineering across EMEA.
- Continuous market analysis, including benchmarking of competitive products.
- Specify product requirements by conducting Voice of the Customer and market research supported by on-going visits to customers and partners.
- Support pre- and post-development activities of Yaskawa welding products by acting as a solution liaison for the organization.
- Collaborate with marketing to communicate the product positioning internally and externally.
- Analyze and suggest potential partner relationships, and licensing opportunities.
- This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in Europe (approximately 30%).

- Proven Product Management experience required.
- Background of robotics and/or experience in welding processes.
- Requires a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
- Excellent organizational skills required to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills for compiling market plans, product analysis and product presentations.
- Excellent presentation skills required.
- Coordination skills and team player attitude.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Industrial Engineering with comparable industry experience in an equivalent role.
- Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent German and English skills (written and spoken).
