We are a SaaS company operating in the Hotel Tech industry in Europe. We build digital tools for Hotels to enhance their guest journey. In order to offer our services, our platform also integrates with several software including Property Management Systems, Payment Gateways and Door Locking systems.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at straiv. You\’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining API integrations for our hotel tech platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional features.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build robust, scalable, and secure API integrations.
2. Support the rollout of new features within our solution.
3. Identify and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
4. Ensure high code quality through best practices like code reviews, testing, and documentation.
5. Share your technical knowledge with other developers in the team and contribute to the improvement of our solution.

What you bring

1. At least 5 years of professional experience in web development using frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Python-Django, etc.
2. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges.
3. Excellent collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
4. English fluency.
5. A valid work permit for Germany.
