As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT) Manager, you will lead a team of technicians, providing expert guidance on hardware deployments, diagnostics, and decommissions. You will support technician performance, prioritize tasks, and monitor KPIs and SLAs. This role offers leadership development, training opportunities, and career growth.

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCT Manager, you will deliver core infrastructure for services like Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware and experience supporting IT equipment or working with technical teams.
  • Experience managing or supervising others.

Background Check Requirements :

Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years.

Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in Computer Science or related field, experience in data centers, relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, CDCP, MCP, Six Sigma), and leadership experience with technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop your team, fostering a positive and accountable culture.
  • Ensure data center service compliance and quality.
  • Guide team adherence to policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Train technicians on installation, deployment, and quality checks.
  • Verify quality checks and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Escalate issues, follow up on resolutions, and share knowledge.
  • Evaluate process changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Lead team meetings, prioritize work, and adjust as needed.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a safety culture.
  • Ensure safety compliance among technicians and vendors.
  • Maintain pride and accountability for service quality and customer experience.
