We are looking for patent attorney trainees in the department for life sciences / biotechnology at our Hamburg office. We are currently offering molecular biologists / biochemists (PhDs welcome) the opportunity to become a German and/or European patent attorney. Our goal is to establish a long-term working relationship, even after your training ends. We expect enthusiasm, willingness to familiarize yourself with new facts and circumstances, and the ability to master complex situations with clarity and precision. The job will comprise office management (independently looking after secretarial tasks such as handling mail, answering emails, maintaining administrative systems, drawing up correspondence and invoices, handling correspondence with officials, taped dictation, planning business trips, processing patents, and much more). We offer an interesting role in a young team, flexible working hours, a full-time position, performance-related extras, meal vouchers, reimbursement of travel expenses, and comprehensive onboarding.
Candidates should have completed their professional training as a European/multilingual secretary, patent clerk, legal assistant, or a similar qualification (preferable but not essential), very good language skills in German and particularly English as well, a coordinated and structured approach to work.
