We are currently searching for a national expert on green economy policies for a proposal opportunity in Jordan aiming at strengthening the green economy in Jordan through policy advisory and green business development activities.
Description of tasks:
- Carrying out various tasks as assigned by the team leader, including deputisation.
- Lead responsibility for delivery of all interventions focusing on providing political advisory services to staff in the Ministry of Environment (MoEnv) and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply (MoITS) on technical topics related to green industrial policy development, and on organisational and structural challenges faced by the ministries.
- Acting focal point for short-term experts project activities, their coordination with other national experts and stakeholders.
- Resource person for any related meetings, workshops, trainings and consultations with project partners related to the implementation of the assignment.
Qualifications:
- University qualification (diploma/masters) in political science, public administration, economics, or environmental management.
- Knowledge of Arabic C2 and English C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- 12 years of professional experience in the field of green economy and public policy.
- 6 years of professional experience in policy analysis and development, and 2 years of policy advisory to governmental institutions in Jordan.
- 5 years of leadership experience in public, private or international organisations.
- Development cooperation (DC) experience: 4 years of experience in DC projects.
