M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a HVAC Technician to join our team.
The role is based in Pirmasens, Germany. You'll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a US Military base. Prior HVAC Technician experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site. This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a HVAC Technician working in a fast paced and exciting military environment.
General job description
- Repairs, installs, and operates refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, combustible equipment, and related equipment items.
- Interprets electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance malfunction data to analyse malfunctions.
- Uses various test equipment, load banks and other diagnostic equipment as required by technical data to operate, maintain, inspect, test, repair, and reconstitute assets.
- Prepares assets/equipment for air/sea/road haul shipments in accordance with Technical Orders, Manuals, Checklists, Regulations, and Unit Type Code (UTC) Configuration listings.
- Prepares and completes required documentation to include DOD, USAF Supply/Maintenance, Amentum and associated forms.
- Operates material handling equipment as required.
- Inspects Hazardous Materials within the assigned work centre and coordinates with the appropriate office for the disposal of HAZMAT when required.
- May be required to assist in other departments when directed or requested to accomplish a specific task or project.
- Conforms to safety, hazardous material, and quality standards.
- Ensures all tools, personal protective equipment and clothing issued remain safe, secure and serviceable, reporting any deficiencies.
- Erects, constructs and operates GPMS HVAC systems and associated equipment to support real world exercises and contingencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
