What you'll do
In your future role as a Developer / Cloud Engineer (f/m/d), you will join our agile development team and work on the observability infrastructure of the SAP data management portfolio including SAP HANA Cloud. Our cloud software runs at large scale on Kubernetes, serving thousands of customers every day and enabling them to build highly scalable data applications. Our team provides mission-critical observability data to internal and external consumers including service logs, metrics, and alerts. You will support our team to enhance our observability infrastructure, including its metrics, logging, and alerting framework. You will have the chance to work on state-of-the-art cloud technology comprised of observability tools both from the open-source world and internally from SAP. You will participate in the design, implementation, and high-quality delivery of the solution. You may have to respond to incidents and their root cause analysis. You will gain insights in developing business-critical, cloud-native software at scale and in an international work environment.
What you bring
- Very good degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics or related areas
- 2 years of professional work experience
- Experience and interest in container management software (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with major compute cloud providers, e.g. AWS, GCP, MS Azure
- Knowledge of open-source observability tools, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch
- Solid software development experience in one or more programming languages, preferably Python or Golang
- Very good language skills in English
