Banco Santander is looking for an Analyst Banker within the Banking & Corporate Finance team, based in Frankfurt. Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) supports some of the world's largest corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an Analyst Banker, your mission will be to support Santander's dynamic Banking & Corporate Finance team by acting as a consistent point of contact for our corporate clients. You will be working in Santander Frankfurt’s dynamic Corporates Coverage team, where your day-to-day tasks will vary based on our client’s needs. You can expect to partner across product and support teams to develop strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, conduct analyses, prepare presentations as well as credit packages.
- Relationship management as one of the global key points of contact for Santander's DACH and Scandinavia-based clients.
- Actively reach out and provide complete service support to clients, including solving complex client inquiries across all products and geographies of Santander.
- Participating in the preparation and execution of transactions for the Banking & Corporate Finance team in close cooperation with product teams (e.g. M&A, DCM, Syndicated Loans and Global Transaction Banking).
- Working with different Senior Bankers and Product Specialists in creating new business opportunities.
- Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and customers.
- Redacting and delivering client presentations and supporting other coverage or product related initiatives.
- Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
EXPERIENCE
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience (gained preferably in activities related to corporate & investment banking).
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required (preferably Master's degree); strong academic track record (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics).
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Highly proficient in spoken and written German and fluent in English. Spanish is optional. Basic financial modelling skills and understanding of company valuations. Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
