Under designated supervision as part of the early morning stocking crew, performs a variety of duties, primarily physical in nature in the unloading, segregating, staging, transportation, and replenishing of merchandise.
Job Qualifications
- Education: High school or equivalent.
- General experience: Six months of progressively responsible general experience which may have involved retail sales floor experience, is desirable.

Major Duties
- Unloads merchandise delivery vehicles.
- Examines cases and packages for indication of damage or pilferage and points out discrepancies to supervisor.
- Segregates merchandise by designated department or sales center and stages it for transport to sales floor.
- Strips wrapping from FDC merchandise and inserts hangers.
- Moves merchandise to sales floor using hand, roller rack, pallet jack, dolly, or hand truck.
- Displays and replenishes merchandise in a neat and presentable fashion in accordance with instructions.
- Price-marks merchandise as needed.
- Advises supervisor when damaged/defective merchandise is found.
- Cleans fixtures and removes boxes, trash, and excess merchandise from sales floor.
- Pulls backup merchandise from various locations in the stockroom, according to information provided by the reorder associate, and stages for the following days stocking.
- Assists in the conduct of interim and official inventories.
- Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
