We are looking for a Project Manager for our Offshore Wind segment to join our Global Center of Competence. The position involves close interaction with Offshore Wind developers, T&D Utility customers, EPC Contractors, and local Hitachi Energy units worldwide. You should have a clear flair for sustainable energy, be highly motivated with an outgoing personality as well as the experience and ability to handle, control and monitor major customer-specific projects. Also, you should be able to promote and position System Solutions and respective Service Solutions in the Offshore Wind segment. As Project Manager, you will track and manage the progress of the projects and lead an interdisciplinary project team. Know-how in Electrical Engineering, a systematic working style as well as strong teamwork and communication skills are also part of your profile. Tasks
- Manage major national and international offshore projects
- Manage an interdisciplinary project team, distribution of tasks within the team, taking into account project specific requirements and policies
- Examination of customer requirements, clarification of the technical and commercial content of the order in coordination with the customer and the project team, as well as definition of the project structure, organization, scope and schedule
- Contract review and technical order clarification - with support from Sales and Engineering
- Close collaboration and coordination with internal and external stakeholders in your role as a central point of contact
- Track and manage project progress using Hitachi Energy's Policies, Best Practices and Lessons Learned to ensure completion of customer projects on time, on budget, maintaining a high quality standard and in accordance with the contract
- Organization, control and monitoring of processing steps such as engineering, assembly and commissioning to achieve the project goals
- Planning factory testing and commissioning as well as acceptance and handover of the system at the customer site
- Monitoring and controlling project financing, overseeing the status of invoicing, costs, cash flows and other key performance indicators
- Risk management and claim management with regard to order and process-related disruptions
- Implementation of efficient personnel deployment planning
- Ensuring that all projects are carried out and completed in accordance with health, safety and environmental guidelines
- Initiating sustainable process improvements
- Manage customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Industrial Engineering combined with several years of relevant professional experience in project management or project execution as well as technical leadership of international projects, preferably in substation business
- Knowledge in the offshore sector with regard to quality and work safety requirements
- Certification as Senior Project Manager / PMP would be considered as an advantage
- Fluent in writing and speaking English, preferably also in German
- Very good communication skills, strong customer orientation, structured way of working and ability to work in a team
- Intercultural competence and consistent pursuit of set goals as well as assertiveness
- Willingness to travel internationally for customer and construction site visits
