Role Overview
The Senior Analyst will be a key member of the real estate investment team, responsible for conducting financial analysis, underwriting real estate transactions, and supporting asset management initiatives. The role offers exposure to a broad range of investment strategies, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Underwriting: Conduct in-depth financial modeling and underwriting for potential real estate investments, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, sensitivity analysis, and return metrics (IRR, MOIC, equity multiple, etc.).
- Market Research & Due Diligence: Perform detailed market research, competitor analysis, and property-level due diligence to assess risks and opportunities.
- Asset Management Support: Assist in the oversight of portfolio assets, including tracking financial performance, leasing, and capital expenditure planning.
- Transaction Execution: Support deal execution by preparing investment memos, coordinating due diligence efforts, and working with legal, financing, and operational teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external parties, including brokers, lenders, and third-party consultants, to ensure smooth execution of investment strategies.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on asset performance to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in private equity real estate, investment banking (real estate coverage), or real estate investment/asset management.
- Financial Modeling: Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and valuation analysis.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of real estate financial metrics, deal structuring, and investment strategies.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends to make informed investment decisions.
- Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing investment memos and presentations.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
