Senior Linux Engineer

At Luminator Technology Group , we’re looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our embedded systems. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain a cross-platform, Debian-based operating system tailored to multiple hardware platforms. You’ll play a key part in building a solid, scalable foundation that supports Luminator\’s products, working with cutting-edge technologies and solving complex challenges. Key Responsibilities

1. Develop software (C++, Go) and firmware (C, C++) for embedded systems.
2. Work natively with Linux, including kernel modifications and U-Boot customization.
3. Manage device trees, secure file systems, and scripted builds.
4. Automate build processes and optimize Docker toolchains.
5. Support multi-architecture targets (ARM 32/64-bit, x86).
6. Optimize boot times and memory footprint for embedded systems.
7. Work on OS services and hardware abstraction layers (HAL).
8. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed software, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with embedded Linux systems.
2. Strong experience with Linux, including kernel programming and U-Boot bootloader modifications.
3. Expertise in C++, Go, and firmware development.
4. DevOps skills, including CI/CD and automation processes.
5. Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
6. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a big-picture mindset.
8. Team player with a no-blame culture mentality, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with open-source/Linux platforms.
2. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
3. Experience in embedded system security and integration.
