Network Administrator (f/m/d)

For our client, a company in the shipbuilding industry based in Lemwerder and Hamburg, we are looking for a dedicated Network Engineer (f/m/d) with immediate effect.

Your tasks:

• Review and optimization of our network infrastructure, including the identification of current and future requirements.
• Selection of suitable network components and planning and implementation of necessary changes and new networks.
• Tracking trends and new technologies in the field of network technology to continuously improve the infrastructure.
• Introduction of new network standards and regular documentation of network topologies, configurations and solutions to technical problems.
• Ensuring smooth infrastructure operation through maintenance and configuration of network components such as routers, switches and firewalls.
• Regular monitoring of network security and performance.
• Analyzing and resolving faults in the infrastructure and assisting technical user support with troubleshooting.

Required qualifications:

• Completed IT training (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a degree in computer science, information and telecommunications technology or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience as a network engineer with in-depth knowledge of network technologies (routing, switching, LAN, WLAN, WAN).
• Experience in using network management tools.

• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Good written and spoken English skills.

• Basic knowledge: Network technology Cisco.
• Advanced knowledge: Network technology LAN (local area networks), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network).
