Let’s connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation team at our headquarters in Hanover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis (part-time possible, at least 30 hours per week), commencing as soon as possible as a Reinsurance Accountant Life Insurance Business .
You can look forward to
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing reinsurance statements of account
- Correspondence with internal interfaces and external customers
- Claims processing
- Checking, processing and posting statements of account including assuring completion
- Consultation with medical underwriters
- Sanction screening
- Independent processing of current accounts
- Payment initiation of reconciled balances in SAP-ABS or alternatively manually
- Processing of payments made with balancing of accounts including payment and exchange rate differences
- Processing of payments and technical postings that cannot be clearly assigned
- Initiating the creation of new bank details
- Annual (quarterly) closing work
- Checking estimates and determination of any additional reserves
- Documentation of anomalies
- Archiving and inventory maintenance
You come equipped with
- Degree in business administration and/or commercial training with appropriate professional experience
- (Initial) experience in the life insurance sector of an insurance and/or reinsurance company of advantage
- Knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting guidelines
- English and German language skills at a conversational level
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and SAP knowledge
- High affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarise yourself with various IT technologies
- Very good understanding of numbers as well as analytical and conceptual skills
- An independent and flexible way of working
