Insight Global are looking to hire a Head of FP&A as a Team lead for a leading electric charge point operator in Europe. This role will have full accountability of all responsibility areas, working closely with the rest of the Finance team to ensure high quality accounting data to support business decisions and meet the company’s compliance requirements.

An exciting challenge at a diverse and rapid environment, with the clients remit spanning most of Europe including the Nordics.

This role is a permanent position, based in central Berlin, Germany. 2-3 times per week onsite, Hybrid. The ideal candidate will be able to converse in English fluently and will have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Half of the role will be spent organising and executing on month-end closing, managing all budgets, and preparing financial statements with the accounting team.
• Oversee the budget process from August to January, including dealing with templates and allocations.
• Dealing with Inter-Company Related Topics for the other half of the role, handling transfer pricing and intercompany recharges.
• Managing cross-functional tasks effectively.
• Coordinating with the US team to explain issues and challenges (e.g. queries on debits and credits).

Must-Haves:

• Extensive experience working in accounting/ FP&A roles.
• Experience handling large data from an analytical capacity leveraging PowerBI & Excel.
• Strong balance sheet skills, almost at an accountant level with an ability to always understand the big picture.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a rapid, highly transactional business.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Plusses:

• Qualified accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, Bilanzbuchhalter or another relevant qualification).
• Experience as a qualified accountant who has transitioned into FP&A looking for a new role to step into leadership.
• Fluency in German to a professional standard.
• Experience with cost centres, allocations, and inter-company recharges.
• Treasury experience is extremely beneficial but not essential to completing the role to a high degree.
