Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the strategic orientation of purchasing and the implementation of corporate goals in the BU
• Close cooperation with the strategic purchasing department of the SGB SMIT Group and the operational purchasing departments of the plants to ensure the supply chain
• Management and development of the purchasing teams in the plants
• Identification of savings potential as well as optimization and harmonization of purchasing processes
• Establishing and maintaining sustainable supplier relationships to support the growth strategy
• Defining and validating annual purchasing volumes, including consolidation of both plants
• Developing strategic plans for material groups
• Defining requirements for supplier development (e.g. audits, defining and tracking improvement measures or joint development projects)

Your profile:

• A degree in business administration or engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in industrial purchasing, ideally with management experience
• In-depth knowledge of process optimization, purchasing strategies and supplier management
• Experience in harmonizing and standardizing purchasing processes
• Very good user knowledge of SAP and MS Office
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with international teams
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
