IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

The municipality of Senden has a permanent vacancy in Department I – Central Services, Education and Leisure – in the field of information technology with a focus on system administration of school IT at the earliest possible date and would like to recruit you!

Your tasks:

• Conception, operation and further development of the server and IT infrastructure, in particular the virtualization and provision of servers, applications and desktops
• Administration, maintenance and monitoring of the IT infrastructure
• Operation and maintenance of the backup infrastructure
• Creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and continuous development of existing processes
• Provision of IT workstations
• Active participation in daily IT operations and ensuring ongoing operations
• Implementation of IT and digitalization projects
• Participation in procurement procedures
• Implementation, further development and administration of the ECM/DMS system for the entire administration
• Plan, provide and operate a secure site network between the town hall and the schools

Your profile:

• A university degree in computer science or business informatics or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in administrative informatics
• Or completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration with relevant professional experience
• Or you have equivalent skills and experience and have already worked in a corresponding position
• Knowledge and experience as an IT administrator (IT infrastructure and network)
• Experience in dealing with the current Windows environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO, etc.), hypervisors and virtualization solutions such as VMware and Citrix
• Knowledge of network security, installation of software and operating systems, Powershell and scripting, as well as experience with firewalls
• Knowledge of Linux & MS 365 (desirable)
• Motivation and talent to familiarize yourself with new topics and programs
• Ability to organize and work independently and on your own responsibility with the idea of a service provider
