Spares Manager is responsible for translating the spares strategy into actionable plans. Planning, directing, and overseeing the Spares Department to ensure smooth operations so that it can meet the departmental and organizational KPIs.

Your Tasks

Revenue Accountability

  • Define and manage Spares Department KPIs
  • Manage product price strategy for Spare Parts
  • Monitoring and optimizing procurement, sales order, and other relevant KPIs
  • Establish annual parts sales strategy including sales forecast targets in collaboration with the Sales and Service team
  • Lead a multifunctional parts team to achieve a parts growth strategy
  • Drive parts forecasting and budgeting process with sales and service regions and stakeholders
    Managing Spares Department
  • Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the Spares Department
  • Managing efficient preparation, coordination, and execution of Spare Parts Sales Order
  • Ensure the department operates in compliance with established guidelines and procedures
  • Develops, implements, and manages procedures and processes for parts order to delivery function with consideration for personnel needs, systems, and KPIs to monitor progress
  • Define and establish all parts pricing strategies and processes in markets to achieve targeted margins
  • Implement, analyze, and measure all parts-related metrics with product groups
  • Investigate competitor activities and conduct relevant market research that enables market competitiveness
  • Prepare and maintain parts demand planning including analysis, evaluation, recommendation, maintenance, and improvements to parts inventory levels through various distribution channels
  • Responsible for a component exchange program and all processes contained within, including pricing
  • Assists with and/or develops quotations and discount structures for parts tenders/contracts
  • Establish parts supply contracts for customers working with sales regions and stakeholders
    Inventory Forecast and Management
  • Maintain spares stock levels that enable our service department to complete their work without delay
  • Makes sure rotables are shipped to appropriate outside vendors or in-house accessory shops for repairs
  • Accounts for total inventory values and counts of both rotatable and consumable parts
  • Ensures accuracy of inventories under their management, and account for fill rates and turn times
    Technical Knowledge
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry standards and practices as well as Company’s products and services
  • Provide 1st line of technical support to the Spares team and customers
  • Ensure staff are well equipped with necessary technical knowledge to perform the role
    Stakeholder Relationships
  • Develop and maintain long-lasting, positive relationships with customers and third-party vendors

Your Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Technical (Engineering) with eight (8) years of sales experience with parts and a minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate team members to achieve outcomes
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills for establishing strategic visions and plans
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving ability to ensure accurate decision-making
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team with high level of coordination and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability, self-initiative, and energy
  • General business acumen with the ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes
  • Adaptable nature to champion continuous improvement and change management as the business grows
  • Familiar with LN system is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills to speak with stakeholders to customer management.
