Job Highlights
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems in an industrial facility
- Make sure that electrical systems are safe and running efficiently
- Repair large electrical equipment, such as industrial fans, large motors, or control systems
- Install and test new equipment and systems
- Repair and or maintain older, pre-existing systems
- Read blueprints and follow diagrams of circuits and wiring
- Use many different hand and diagnostic tools in testing and repairing equipment
- Work independently or as part of a team
Requirements
- Must have served in an accredited journeymen level Electrical Apprenticeship Program with current state electrical license preferred.
- Minimum 4-years’ of experience in an Industrial related industry working with low to medium voltage equipment high voltage experience a plus.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Strong work ethic, high level of integrity and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Self-starter, motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated skills using verbal and written communications; computer proficient with MS Office and other applications;
- High regard for safety and the environment;
