We are a GreenTech startup focused on the circular economy in the construction sector. With our help, building materials in existing buildings are digitized and then reused for new buildings, thereby returning them to the material cycle.

This saves millions of tons of CO2, resources, and waste.

Responsibilities

Invent, design, analyze, build, and test complex backend modules and data structures to fulfill our functional objectives and requirements while considering the limitations imposed by practicality and safety.

Our backend stack is Django and Postgres running on AWS.

You will be responsible for:

1. Developing plugins and integrations based on Python
2. Developing reusable backend libraries for future use
3. Refactoring existing code
4. Keeping track of changes in the code with our version control (merge requests, versioning, branches, tags, etc.)
5. Testing backend code (unit and integration tests of modules)
6. Reviewing code of other software engineers
7. Assisting with the elaboration of technical tickets
8. Designing the architecture of backend modules
9. Documenting the backend code
10. Fixing backend and plugin bugs

Your profile

1. 4 years of hands-on experience with Python development
2. Experience with Python, Django, and Celery
3. Experience with PostgreSQL (or writing SQL in general)
4. Django testing experience (PyTest or unit test and test client for covering integration and unit tests)
5. Proven ability to work in an agile way and break down work into pieces, plan iterations, and deliver simple solutions to complex problems
6. Good knowledge or experience with product development tools and processes (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
7. Passion for building innovative products in the circular economy
8. High standards and strive for excellence across the board from own contributions to collaborations with the engineering team, balanced by a practical understanding of the tradeoffs between done and perfect
9. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
