So that you don\’t have to imagine this, we have developed amberSearch. amberSearch is an AI-based, in-house search engine to make it easier for employees to access knowledge.

Not only do you know what AI is able to do, but you love to find out and develop how it really works every day? As an AI Engineer in our team, you will develop customized models, train powerful algorithms and take our AI search platform to a whole new level. You use machine learning, neural networks and innovative problem solving to answer the question “How can we use AI to solve real problems?” and set new standards in AI technology together with us.

Tasks

• You are responsible for integration and fine-tuning for a variety of AI models vision and language models to consistently improve the quality and performance of our platform.
• You develop automated AI pipelines that adapt to our user behavior to continually refine which models deliver the best results and yield the biggest customer satisfaction.
• You evaluate benchmark models on our domain-specific datasets and assess their applicability for various customer needs and use-cases.
• You optimize the performance of our platform and improve search as well as answer generation times by developing faster, more lightweight models.
• You stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI research and industry trends, incorporating innovative techniques to keep our platform at the forefront of AI-driven solutions.

Requirements

MUST HAVE:

• You are an AI expert: You have extensive knowledge of AI model architectures beyond Large Language Models (LLMs).
• You are experienced with Java, C++, C#, Rust, or similar compiled/strongly typed languages.
• You are familiar with GitOps development processes and workflows.
• You have hands-on experience using AI code development tools such as Cursor or similar.
• You had the chance for some initial experience deploying smaller language models locally or in quick iterations, as well as fine-tuning them.
• You are fluent in German and English.

NICE TO HAVE:

• You are familiar with the challenges of an AI-based B2B startup.
• You are eager to drive the continuous improvement of our AI solutions through the identification and testing of emerging technologies.
• You are a proven early adopter (e.g., published papers, blog posts).
