Effective support for SAP on Azure is crucial for our customers to achieve their business goals. Without proper support, customers may face issues that can lead to system downtime, performance degradation, data loss, and a decrease in customer satisfaction. Microsoft\’\’s CSS-SAP RISE Co-Location with the ECS RISE Technical Operations Team plays a crucial role in helping customers successfully run their ECS workloads on Azure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of systems and processes for our joint customers. The objective is to develop a sustainable partnership between SAP and Microsoft, continuously enhancing and advancing the customer, support, and development experience of SAP RISE on Azure.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  1. Single point of contact at site
  2. Participation in incident response process
  3. Drive quickest resolution for the incidents
  4. Collaborate with multiple teams like VM (Virtual Machines), Networking, Storage, SAP etc. to identify prevention plans.
  5. Build relationships with SAP and other teams.
  6. Contribute to building tooling and diagnostics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Hands working experience in SAP on Azure (Shared Disks, Backups, etc.).
  2. SAP System Performance tuning, root cause analysis and resolution, should have ability and understanding how multiple layers of the platform impacts SAP.
  3. Ability to clearly articulate complex solutions and/or problems.
  4. Hyper-Visor/Cloud/Networking Skills: Able to design, deploy and troubleshoot solutions based on the following: Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  5. Operating Systems (OS) Skills: technical knowledge on at least one of the following – Windows, Linux (SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server), RHEL(Red Hat Enterprise Linux)), UNIX. Knowledge should include performance analysis and debugging.
  6. Knowledge of HA/DR technologies, including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed HA/DR solutions like Pacemaker Cluster setup and troubleshooting. Candidate must have proven track record of supporting reliable, highly available and scalable SAP architecture for customers.
  7. Working knowledge in PowerShell/Bash scripting.
  8. Experienced in RDBMS administration, Knowledge of DBMS query languages, like SQL or Kusto query language (KQL).

Language Qualification:

English Language: fluent in reading, writing and speaking.
