Client Relationship Support Financial Institutions
Responsibilities
The position is based within our Relationship management team for Financial Institutions, within Global Banking & Advisory (GLBA). The team consists of a Senior Banker, Senior and Junior Relationship Managers. It is responsible for covering Financial Institutions (banks, insurance companies, asset managers, stock exchanges…) from Germany & Austria. The team also provides local coverage support for Financial Institutions from other countries who have a significant presence in Germany or Austria.
During your mission you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support the Relationship Managers in KYC processes related to their clients – mostly periodic KYC review involving multiple business lines and geographies.
- Support the structuring and implementation of loans (RCF) and Letters of Credit, including profitability analysis, client business case, credit approval process, review of documentation (with legal advisors and business lines), liaison with back-office.
- Manage data related to client revenues, scarce resources, and profitability (review, control, forecast, and reporting).
- Support RMs in the analysis and monitoring of commercial and financial performance with their client portfolio.
- Support RMs in maintaining and updating the internal client database referential (data quality).
- Perform financial and business analysis on clients and prospects.
- Contribute to the preparation of company profiles and industry/sector analyses on German/Austrian financial institutions.
In terms of knowledge and experience, you will obtain expertise in:
- Acquisition of a broad spectrum of banking products.
- Insight on banking commercial approach of large financial institutions.
- German and European banking environment.

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Business.
- A previous experience (internship) in banking/finance would be appreciated.
- German and French would be a plus.
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Literacy in reading company\’s accounts/annual reports is a must.
- Basic knowledge of the Financial Institutions sector and corresponding regulatory sector is a plus.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
