Your Responsibilities:

• You will manage Offshore Wind Projects across all phases: development, tendering, design, engineering and construction.
• Lead and coordinate the review of design and manufacturing documentation, advising project engineers on decision-making processes.
• Oversee the reconciliation of permitting, cable, electrical system and cable installation design.
• Establish and manage a knowledge database for cables, including static and dynamic cables and accessories, within the company.
• Pursue innovation for Cable Projects and Cable Monitoring Systems and coordinate with the operational department.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across sub-projects (HVDC, OSS, etc.), internal departments and external stakeholders to address technical interfaces and troubleshoot issues.

Your Profile:

• You have a Master\’s degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Several years of professional experience in the cable industry, with expertise across all areas: cable design, production, and installation, ideally for static and dynamic cables, internal array grid and export cables.
• Experience in a design or system management position, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical analysis of Offshore Windfarms and extensive knowledge of the submarine cable industry/technology, with a keen interest in Research and Design development.
• Expertise in cost estimation and budgeting for project proposals, providing detailed cost calculations, along with strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and excellent communication, persuasion and assertiveness skills.
• Business fluency in both German and English, with the ability to work in an international team and flexibility for travel within project implementation.

About the Department:

The Cable team specializes in inner array and export cabling as part of the planning and construction of offshore wind farms. As a central point of contact and consultant for technical issues, the team is dedicated to the challenges and developments of renewable energies and provides a wide range of engineering services.
