Senior Manager Contract Logistics (m / f / d)

We are looking for a Senior Manager Contract Logistics – Germany / Eastern Europe (m / f / d) to join our team. The role can be based anywhere in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects, sites including turnaround management in critical business situations such as ramp-ups, turnarounds, or project phases.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage crucial projects and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring adherence to the project plan and monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking, and control project expenses, ensuring compliance with the approved budget.
• Drive operational site management while acting as an integral interface to the customers.
• Oversee all aspects of daily operations and ensure projects run smoothly, including financial operations excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and motivate staff to encourage maximum performance and dedication in difficult circumstances.
• Evaluate the current operational processes within the core business to identify areas for improvement.
• Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to budgeted revenue and operating income goals, while establishing and maintaining day-to-day fiscal management practices in full compliance with industry standards.
• Analyze regular financial performance indicators and make necessary adjustments to ensure profitability for the site.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, logistics, or business administration.
• Profound knowledge of the economic, commercial, and political issues to build and grow the business and projects with impactful outcomes, comfortable in changing and new environments.
• 5+ years of experience leading contract logistics operations in a global multinational company.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and guidance, while also enjoying collaboration across dynamic and multi-cultural teams.
• Highly proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and German; additional languages are a bonus.
• Willingness to travel between 50%-75% of the time across the region to our operations and clients.
