(Junior) Head of Finance, Small Listed Entertainment Company, Munich, Germany

They are currently seeking a Head of Finance to join their team and drive their exciting growth journey. In this role, the Head of Finance will oversee Accounting, Controlling, and Investor Relations, playing a key part in the company\’s financial strategy. What the job involves
- Developing and executing financial strategies with the Management Board to drive sustainable growth
- Preparing of monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements (HGB) and providing regular reporting to the Executive Board and supervisory bodies
- Responsible for accounting, cash flow, and liquidity
- Supporting the Executive Board with strategic planning and development
- Conducting cost/benefit analyses
- Budget planning, forecasting, and analysis to support business decisions
- Preparing and comparing budgets with actual targets
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks
- Ensuring compliance with financial and tax laws, especially for a listed stock corporation
- Preparing structured financial reports for decision-making
- Improving financial processes and implementing digital tools
- Maintaining relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions
- Coordinating capital measures and the Annual General Meeting, including presenting at the AGM
- Communicating financial data and strategy to the board and stakeholders
- Implementing management information systems and KPI steering
- Supporting growth and buy-and-build strategies, including post-merger integration
- Managing cash, liquidity, working capital, and capital structure
- Leading financing processes
- Ensuring compliance with publication obligations
- Supporting HR duties such as personnel search, selection, and management, employment contracts, target agreements, payroll, and motivation
- Serving as the primary contact for various stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and investors
Who we are looking for
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration or comparable qualification, ideally with focus on finance, controlling or accounting
- A few years of professional experience in auditing or finance, preferably in a similar role and ideally within the media or entertainment industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting, controlling and management
- Expertise in valuing intangible assets
- Advanced IT skills, especially in MS Office, Google, and DATEV
- Experience working with investors and supervisory bodies
- Solid analytical, strategic, and solution-oriented mindset
- Entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- High flexibility and hands-on approach
- Strong communication, persuasiveness, and sense of responsibility
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and performance driven work environment
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
