We are looking for a motivated chemist to join our Process Development Team for Small Molecules within the Advanced Synthesis Platform. As a member of our team you will be a key player in developing manufacturing processes for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). What you’ll do:
- Develop and optimize scalable processes for the production of small molecules API (incl. HPAPI) in the laboratory through all phases of clinical development up to Process Validation.
- Transfer of production processes to the GMP manufacturing facility and support of the manufacturing plant during production as technical expert.
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate laboratory experiments and summarize results in reports and presentations.
- Demonstrate scientific/technical leadership.
- Collaborate within Lonza’s multifunctional project Teams and with external customers.
- Anticipate, evaluate and implement trends and innovations in the area of expertise and lead a team of laboratory professionals.
What we’re looking for:
- You have completed a Ph.D in Chemistry.
- Having industrial experience in the field of chemical process development with transfer to GMP production is strongly preferred.
- Experience in GMP is advantageous.
- You have the capability to think creatively, listen actively, comprehend and improve chemical processes, and collaborate well in teams.
- You have an independent, careful, and reliable way of working. You can work effectively in a team and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation.
- A fluent command of English is necessary (written and spoken). German knowledge or willingness to learn German is required.
- Having experience in leading a team of professionals in a corporate setting is advantageous.
