Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites applications for the position of

Professor (W3) in Organic Synthesis

at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy. This civil servant or public employee position will start as soon as possible.

We seek to appoint an outstanding researcher with internationally recognized research achievements in Method Development in Organic Chemistry, focusing on applications in areas of chemistry or biochemistry.

Experience in securing competitive third-party funding and willingness to collaborate interdisciplinarily in research within the faculty and beyond are required. Various joint initiatives are open for participation within the profile areas of the Goethe University, i.e., “Structure and Dynamics of Life” and “Time, Space, Matter.” The candidate is expected to contribute to ongoing and planned collaborative projects in the focus areas of light-driven chemical approaches, sustainable chemistry, or RNA research.

The position holder will be involved in teaching (lectures, seminars, and practical courses) in the Bachelor and Master program in Chemistry and should represent the subject of Organic Chemistry within its full scope.

The formal hiring requirements are defined in sections 67, 68, and 70 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz).
