Job Description
As the Senior Business Insights Analyst (BIA) (all genders), you will play a key role in ensuring that valuable insights are integrated into strategic planning and execution. These insights will guide our commercial teams and processes, including product launches and various sales and marketing activities.
In this position, you will leverage (ad-hoc) data analytics and business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organization. Your responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support business objectives.
Additionally, you will regularly communicate your findings to decision-makers and collaborate closely with various analysts and our global BIA community to ensure alignment and collective strategic impact.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of business performance data, customer behavior, and market trends to generate insights that inform strategic initiatives. Present comprehensive reports and visualizations that communicate findings to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, IT, and Analytics teams such as data science and market research to understand business data needs and provide analytical support.

Modeling: Understand and leverage our advanced analytics portfolio (e.g. forecasting, customer segmentation, commercial spent optimization) to enrich your own (proactive) analysis. As a plus, you conduct your own predictive models in close collaboration with our data science team.

Tool Utilization: Utilize advanced analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) to conduct your analysis.

Trend Identification: Identify key business trends on the external pharma market and performance metrics to provide recommendations for improvement.

Data Management: Connect with our data steward community to ensure data integrity and support a robust data governance framework.

Upskilling/ Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, actively contribute to our company data literacy program fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
Your Profile:

Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative science field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or another related field).

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL), and statistical analysis tools.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.

Fluent in German and English.
