Group Finance Director

The Fund Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, reporting, and operational aspects of the firm\’s investment funds. This role will involve working closely with fund managers, investors, and external service providers to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fund Accounting & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, capital account statements, and investor reports in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Provide strategic financial insights to support investment decisions, fund performance analysis, and capital allocation.
• Treasury & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash flow, oversee capital calls and distributions, and ensure effective liquidity management for fund operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and investor reporting requirements.
• Investor Relations: Work closely with LPs, providing financial and performance updates, responding to queries, and managing investor reporting.
• Fund Structuring & Tax Planning: Collaborate with legal and tax advisors to optimize fund structures and tax efficiencies.
• Audit & Risk Management: Liaise with external auditors, manage annual audits, and ensure robust internal controls and risk management processes.
• Technology & Process Improvement: Implement and enhance financial systems, automation tools, and best practices to drive operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop the fund finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA/CPA qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in fund finance, investment management, or private equity finance.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, investment vehicles, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with financial modeling, fund accounting software, and ERP systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with investors, senior leadership, and external advisors.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
