Senior Software Engineer API - Node.js, TypeScript

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Senior Software Engineer API (f/m/d) – Node.js, TypeScript who enjoys working in a high pace and constantly evolving industry. You will play a key role in our API team which is responsible for the development and maintenance of various microservices and for integration of internal and external systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Be part of the API team and be able to develop software in Node.js and TypeScript
2. Work on the API and database design to support the software development process already at the design phase
3. Break down requirements into small manageable chunks for the junior developers
4. Take over responsibility for design decisions and the assertion of best practices

The team works very closely together and yet independently. Most of the team members work remotely distributed in Germany.

Interview Process:

1. Chat with Sarah (Senior Recruiter @smartclip) via telephone call
2. Interview via Google Meet with your potential leader(s)
3. Interview either in person or via Google Meet with your potential future team
4. Feedback from the Team and Sarah on a short notice

Minimum Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience using TypeScript to develop Node.js based API services
2. Excellent understanding of SQL and database design
3. Automated testing via Jest/Mocha and other established test libraries should be no mystery to you, and you should have developed a mindset for the benefit of having a code combined coverage of 100% via different test types
4. Profound knowledge in writing reusable code adopting commonly known software design patterns.
